Northern Suburbs Lord Taverner’s U16 Training Squad for 2018/19.
The squad consists of 25 players and will be used to select the Lords Taverner’s team as well as providing players with opportunities to develop their game in senior cricket through Northern Suburbs District Cricket Club.
The squad includes players who have demonstrated performance at higher level cricket as well as a pool of developing players who the club believes has potential to develop into higher level cricketers in the future. In order to develop these players they will be given opportunities to demonstrate their ability and it will be up to them whether they grasp these opportunities throughout the upcoming season.
Selection in the squad does not guarantee that you will get any game time given the broad range of ages and development of players selected in the squad. Performances throughout the off season sessions, at preseason training and through trial matches will all be considered in team selections, however the club is looking to promote a youth policy in the selection of teams for the 2018/19 season. Northern Suburbs is committed to providing a pathway for our junior cricketers to progress into the senior club and to develop the skills they need to be able to do this successfully.
