Northern Suburbs DCC Lords Taverners' 2017-18

The Lord Taverners program is about providing development opportunities to talented young cricketers who we believe will have a genuine chance of becoming a high performing Premier Grade Cricketer in the future and is the ‘Pathway’ competition for aspiring U17 State and National representative teams. The program is about transitioning talented youngsters from junior cricket to senior cricket. The Lord Taverners' players will train with the senior players and many will play senior cricket at Northern Suburbs. The exposure for young cricketers to play with adults has long been regarded as a very important aspect of fast tracking development. Norths encourage developing players to play for their junior club until they are ready to transition to senior cricket as opportunities can be limited

This season there will be two grades of Lord Taverners U16 teams representing Norths playing on a Sunday in 50 over per side limited overs format in coloured clothing.
Lords Taverners' players will train with the senior teams on Tuesday and Thursday nights. It is proposed that the Lord Taverners squad will train on Friday afternoons from 4.30pm to 5.30 pm which will begin in August. The coaching & management for these teams are still being finalised, however at this time Club President Paul Keller will be responsible for this program.
Players will be invited to trial in early August 2017
